Notations:
An earthquake registering a preliminary magnitude of Mb 4.6 occurred at 18:48 UTC (12:48 p.m. PDT), July 7, along the Blanco Fracture Zone off the coast of Oregon. The quake was centered about 170 miles west of Coos Bay along the central portion of the Blanco Fracture Zone ­ a prominent transform fault between the Juan de Fuca and Pacific tectonic plates. A M4.7 triggered to the southeast tow days ago.
